2 in x 12in CPVC Nipple - Threaded Both Ends. Used on intake and discharge of pool pumps and heaters, the higher temperature rating on the SCH80 CPVC wont shrink when heating and cooling. One nipple can be cut in half for intake and discharge.

Pentair model 461021 ASTM is threaded for this type pipe connector. This connector is made from high temperature capable (200F) CPVC. Just cut this connector in half and screw one of the halves into the threaded pool water inlet and the other into the outlet, then glue the cut ends like regular PVC pipe. The pool water inlet and outlet on this heater are brass, which outlasts other models. For example, the "black" connectors used on other similar models like Pentair Mastertemp 250HD are buttress threaded where the brass inlet and outlet are NPT tight machine thread.
