This product was a replacement for a 24 year old Hayward filter canister for my Splash Superpool. First of all I was able to talk to a real person at PoolZoom who guided me to select the best replacement for my old filter system which is no longer in production. The Star Filter is a considerable upgrade in that it has a more compact footprint and is much easier to access and replace the filter element. The seal also appears to be more durable than the O-ring on the old model. To my surprise it also fits perfectly on the plastic base that secures the Hayward pump and the connectors are interchangeable with the old canister. PoolZoom delivered the product within 3 days with free shipping! I couldn’t be more pleased with this transaction.
