The 355468Z Pentair Front Housing fits the Pentair (PacFab) Challenger High Flow and High Pressure swimming pool pumps. On one end this part goes over the diffuser and impeller and connects to the seal plate with a large band clamp. It connects to the strainer pot on the other end. The discharge port accepts a standard 2" Threaded Male PVC fitting.

Exactly what I needed to replace the 27 year old one that failed circumstantially around the mating face. Now if I only get the band clamp to stop leaking.

arrived sooner than expected. appears to be suitable for the repair needed. too cold to install now. will advise if any problems occur upon installation. i appreciate the suggestion to buy to threaded union(s). Such will make future repairs easier.

Great service
Old one split where clamp is after 6 years. This is the right housing for any Challenger that has a trap that bolts on with 4 bolts. There is another housing that is threaded so that you could bypass the trap and plumb directly into the housing. This was a good buy, almost 1/2 of what my local pool store was charging, and arrived quickly.
The part was exact, it arrived the next day. The service was excellent. I will definitely use PoolZoom for all my pool parts in the future.
