Zodiac Cyclonic Leaf Catcher

My old one was at the point the lid wouldn't always stay on due to exposure to sun and pool chemicals. These work well; so I bought a new one to replace.

Pool Vacuum works great, moves around the entire pool.

Easy to install. Very easy to empty. Best of all, you don't have to remove the hoses to gain access to the canister. Appears to be very well made. We will see how it holds up long term. Shipped fast as well.

The product works excellent, the shipping was on schedule, and the price was way cheaper than local pool chain stores!!

I ordered this from PoolZoom because of the price and reputation. Plus, another review stated that the cheaper unit had bigger holes and allowed more debris to get to the pool pump, so I sprung for the slightly more expensive model (this one). This was my first purchase from PoolZoom. I got my package fairly quickly, packaged professionally and in brand new condition. The instructions in the box were... not there? I did get a warranty card and I did watch the promotional video, so I had a pretty good idea of what to do, but there were no instructions (which seems intentional since the unit is pretty simple). Fortunately on the top of the unit the two ports are clearly labeled so even I could figure it out pretty quickly. The only question was with the adapter - I don't have a twist & lock hose attachment and the unit came with the attachments stuck together so they at first looked like one piece with the twist & lock on each end. I figured it out eventually - just pull them apart. Guess I don't need those instructions after all... Into the pool with the unit - I chose to insert it in the vacuum line where the hose is typically near the edge of the pool so i could grab it easily when it comes time to empty the leaves. Smart thinking! I put it in the line, then turned on the pump. It turned 90 degrees and was horizontal (not good). It has to be vertical to operate correctly. I fixed that easily enough by just turning the hose section ahead of the unit (the adapters that come with the unit fit very snug and don't turn easily). I notice that when my pump is OFF, the unit looks like it is more horizontal, but when the pump turns on, it goes back to vertical again. Lesson learned: make sure you set the orientation while your pump is running! Once it was aligned, I left it alone for about a week. It gathered a lot of leaves and never choked my vac. I then discovered that it is easy to clean (which is the whole point!) I just unscrew the pitcher section on the bottom and let it drain out (nice feature - it lets the water drain out from the bottom automatically). I then take it over to my garden hose and blast the little remnants of leaves out (I am a bit OCD), then just twist it on (it only takes about a one inch turn to lock it back on). Overall, I am pleased with the unit. It keeps the leaves out of my pump and doesn't seem to slow down my pool vac at all. Also, it works well even when it appears completely full of leaves, and it is easy to deal with. I would recommend this unit.

fast shipping, arrived in good shape, will have to wait till spring to try it out.

This is s great help! Much easier to remove leaves from, than letting them hit the pump basket! Fun to watch too!

Not enough connectors to hook up my 11/2 Kreepy Krually hose.
