Note on Unions
Important Installation Details
Please note: unions are not included with the Hayward CL200EF.
If you’re replacing an existing unit, you can reuse the unions from your previous CL200.
For new installations, you’ll need to order the Hayward SP1500UNPAK2 union connector kit, which provides leak-free connections and makes setup quick and easy.
Alternative option: You can also plumb the CL200EF directly into 1½" PVC lines without unions by using a standard 1½" PVC male adapter. This is a common workaround, but most installers still prefer unions for easier future maintenance and removal.
