Motor fit right into pump. The new style allows for easy access to the dead end of the shaft. This will be handy to rotate the shaft in the off season. Will likely extend motor life.

Installed the motor in October 2016. Ran great all pool season then for no reason bearings started screaming October 2017... just past 1 year warranty. Motor was not exposed to water or any other element they say will cause premature performance. Recommend buying different motor.
