Love the wifi function, can turn it on from work so pool is nice and warm when I get home. Can also see the water temp in the app which is handy.
This heater is pretty awesome. This is our first fall with a pool and it has been amazing to swim all weekend in November. We have a small pool, 13,500 gallons so we get about 3 degrees an hour with it running, so we will crank it up Friday to bring the pool up to 85. Then the heater will come on and off all weekend to automatically maintain the water temperature. I calculated it costs me about $2.60 in natural gas to run it per hour, so a weekend of swimming is around $50 in gas bill which is still cheeper than taking the kids to the movies! The Raypak app works well, it tells you the current temperature and you can adjust how hot you want the pool right in the app. The heater its self is only 2' by 2' so it fit perfectly on our equipment pad. All in all, very happy with this purchase, only took 3 days to get to us and the installer was in and out in about an hour. We did have to run a 1-1/4" gas line down to the equipment pad, which was probably the most expensive part, but its been totally worth it!
With the Avia, I can't say how much I like yet because I have only installed a few so far. I tore one down to look through all the parts. I like the inernal design, but again we don't know how well they hold up over time. I would like to say since it's Raypak, they are great. The homeowner loved the wifi feature
