Will his correctly fit the SP 714 model?
Hello, unfortunately that gasket will not fit the SP 714. The SP 714 has the gasket molded into the diverter, it is not an item that is sold separately. If you are needing to replace that part the replacement part number you will need is part #SPX0714CA.

I've just replaced the Hayward Valve Seat Gasket 5 Spoke (5-5/16") - SPX0710XD.I would like to know if it a good idea to put some plumber grease between the gasket and the rotating plastic plate because it hard to change position for filter to backwask
Hey thanks for the question! The valve seat gasket do not need any lubricant on it, but it does need to be glued down with silicone glue. If it is installed without being glued it will be moved out of place and possibly pinched by the valve. Let the glue set for about 24-48 hours before starting the filter again. There are two sides to the gasket, there is a flat side which is the bottom and a ridge side that is the top. The glue will go on the bottom and the ridge side will go up facing the top of the valve. I hope this helped, if you have any more questions or comments please feel free to contact us again!
