According to Title 20, Section 1605.3(g)6 of the CEC, all pool pumps and motors must meet certain energy efficiency standards to ensure they are environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. Unfortunately, this particular motor does not meet these standards and cannot be installed in California and therefore can not be sold or installed in the state of California.
