This Century Motor is not compliant with the California Energy Commission (CEC) regulations for pool pumps and residential replacement pool pump motors. According to Title 20, Section 1605.3(g)6 of the CEC, all pool pumps and motors must meet certain energy efficiency standards to ensure they are environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. Unfortunately, this particular motor does not meet these standards and cannot be installed in California and therefore can not be sold or installed in the state of California.
